DT Swiss ERC 1100 Dicut DB WTS wheelset

The high-end disc wheels for endurance and all-road bikes, DT Swiss ERC 1100 Dicut with ceramic bearings, 35 mm high and 28.5 mm wide elliptical full-carbon rims with a 22 mm rim width in the Wheel Tire version, fitted with 30 mm wide Conti Grand Grix 500S tyres.

The rims allow the use of wide, excellent-rolling tubeless tyres; the asymmetrical construction provides very high lateral stiffness for maximum steering precision. The DT Swiss ERC 1100 wheels are lightweight, weighing just 1449 grams, and feature high-end DT Swiss Dicut hubs with DT Swiss Sinc ceramic bearings. Finally, the patented Ratchet EXP system guarantees durability and easy maintenance of the wheelset.

DT Swiss WTS, Wheel Tire System:

Conti AERO 111 tyres:

The next generation of aerodynamic road bike tyre performance, developed in close collaboration with the experts at DT Swiss and Swiss Side. The AERO 111 is based on the race-proven technologies of the GP5000 TR series and sets new standards in aerodynamics. The race-optimised Black Chili Compound ensures excellent grip and lower rolling resistance, whilst the proven Vectran Breaker provides puncture protection. The patented, aerodynamically optimised tread design features 48 precision-moulded air chambers. These so-called ‘vortex generators’ create controlled turbulence, causing the airflow to stay in contact with the rim for longer, which reduces drag and optimises handling in crosswinds.

The new AERO+ rim profiles allow for the use of comfortable, wider tyres. Technical highlights include the 180 DICUT Aero hubs with ultra-smooth-running SINC Ceramic bearings and the latest DT Swiss Aero spokes. And with the Ratchet EXP freehub system featuring 36T ratchet pinhubs, every pedal stroke is precisely converted into propulsion and speed – from the start to the finish of your ride.

DT Swiss ERC 1100 Dicut Disc Hubs:

The Dicut Disc hubs, based on DT Swiss 180 EXP hub technology, are perfectly matched to the Nail Häd spoke system and offer optimum aerodynamics. Equipped with high-end Sinc Ceramic bearings and a widened flange spacing for optimum lateral stiffness at low weight. The ratchet body with the Ratchet EXP pawl is virtually maintenance-free and easy to upgrade. The Centerlock brake disc mount allows IS 6-hole brake discs to be fitted using an adapter.

DT Swiss Sinc Ceramic:

The high-end ceramic bearings from DT Swiss, specially optimised for DT Swiss hubs, offer maximum smoothness and minimal weight. In a special manufacturing process, the balls are rolled until their surface exhibits perfect roundness. Whilst the surface of conventional ceramic balls is not 100 per cent smooth, SINC Ceramic balls exhibit extremely high smoothness and, thanks to their perfect roundness, achieve extremely low rolling resistance. By combining these ceramic balls with high-quality steel bearing cups, the full potential of the bearings can be realised.

DT Swiss ERC 1100 Dicut Disc rims:

The ERC 1400 carbon rims, developed entirely in collaboration with Swiss Side, offer good aerodynamics and excellent handling in all wind conditions. Extensively tested and optimised in the wind tunnel, the ERC 1400 rims offer the best compromise between aerodynamics and handling. The finish is applied using a new process and does not affect aerodynamics in any way. With a 22 mm inner rim width, they are ideal for tyres from 25 mm wide and, of course, tubeless-ready.

Rim type Hooked / Crotchet tubeless TC:

Manufactured with a hook or crochet refers to the shape of the rim flange, which features a so-called hook. This supports the tyre bead and ensures reliable performance, even when using high tyre pressure > 5 bar. Tubeless means that the rim can be ridden without an inner tube, but a setup with an inner tube is also possible.

DT Swiss ERC 1100 Dicut spokes:

Lacing with the Nail Head System ensures that the spokes cannot twist under load, so the spokes always remain at the most aerodynamically favourable angle. Flatter and lighter than all others, the DT Swiss Aerolite spoke features an aerodynamic flat profile and is extremely lightweight. On the freehub side of the Dicut wheels, the slightly heavier and even more stable DT Aerocomp spokes are fitted.

DT Swiss EXP Star Ratchet Freehub:

The tried-and-tested DT Swiss Ratchet System in the new EXP version, featuring a toothed disc freehub body, allows for easy conversion to various axle or rotor standards. The integration of the toothed disc and threaded ring reduces the number of components and thus lowers the weight. A single coil spring ensures faster, complete engagement and therefore greater reliability.
