The completely redesigned PRC 1400 wheelset series offers minimal weight, outstanding aerodynamics, very high lateral stiffness and 20 per cent improved heat resistance, The PRC 1400 Spline carbon wheelset features a 35 mm high, high-modulus full-carbon rim from DT Swiss for folding and clincher tyres, with straight-pull spokes and the proven, lightweight Ratchet Star rear hub technology.

Designed for competition use, the DT Swiss PRC 1400 Spline Carbon wheels, with their 35 mm high rims, offer excellent aerodynamics and, weighing just 1475 grams for the clincher wheelset, deliver exceptional acceleration

DT Swiss straight-pull spokes

To achieve an ideal balance between weight and stability, only the highest quality straight pull spokes are used in SPLINE wheels. They are more stable than conventional spokes yet can still be trued and replaced using standard tools.

DT Swiss PRC 1400 Spline 35 clincher rims

For the PRC 35 Spline C, the rims are made from high-modulus carbon fibre using a new heat-resistant resin. The NCAC profile, derived from aircraft construction, offers optimum aerodynamics. DT Swiss Spline hubs

The DT Swiss Spline hubs, with their optimised hub shell and wider hub flanges, offer greater lateral stiffness. Designed for straight-pull spokes and the proven ratchet pawl freewheel system, based on the DT Swiss high-end hubs with Swiss industrial stainless steel bearings, they are extremely durable and can be serviced and converted to Shimano, Sram, Campagnolo and Sram XD freewheel bodies without tools.

Swissstop brake pads

DT Swiss recommends Swiss Stop Black Prince brake pads for DT Swiss carbon rims. These are compatible with Shimano, SRAM FAS, etc. brakes. Campagnolo uses a different brake shoe shape. Special pads are available for these, designed to fit Campagnolo brake shoes.
