Spare parts for Mavic Cosmic SLR 45 Disc Centerlock wheels, 2022 model
Is your Mavic wheel damaged? We repair all Mavic wheels, provided that repair is feasible and the spare parts are still available. Please email us the serial number of your wheel in advance, along with a brief description of the damage. You will usually find the serial number on a small sticker, either on the rim edge, near the barcode, or in the rim bed.
Super-light and aerodynamic, the new Mavic Cosmic SLR wheelsets feature a 45 mm profile height and genuine UST rims, weighing just 1440 grams. These high-end aero wheelsets are designed for flat stages, marathons and racing, featuring super-light, non-drilled full-carbon UST rims. The rim, with its 45 mm high airfoil profile, not only cuts through the wind with minimal drag, it is also the lightest in its category. In the new UD finish with a very special look, the lighter laminate saves a further 15 g per rim.
The lightweight carbon disc wheels: Mavic’s Cosmic SLR Carbon Disc aero wheels with full-carbon rims and Mavic QRM Auto Infinity hubs. These top-class all-round aero wheels impress not only with the lowest rolling resistance in their category, but also with completely new road tubeless technology. This design enables very lightweight and exceptionally stable carbon wheels weighing just 1470 grams. The new Infinity Disc hubs are lightweight and compatible with all standard axle-frame systems. The rear wheel features the Instant Drive 360 ratchet body with the new, extra-stable QRM Auto bearing system.
The completely newly developed Infinity hubs are equipped with a larger 17 mm axle diameter and larger bearings. This increases the torsional stiffness of the axles by approximately 35 per cent. The proven Mavic QRM Auto industrial bearings are used in the Infinity hubs. Equipped with the Instant Drive sprocket-style freehub body, the ORM Auto axle system and self-aligning bearings, they ensure maintenance-free operation over a long period.
The oversized aluminium axles allow for easy conversion to all standard axle systems. The Infinity front hub is compatible with QR9x100mm quick-release and QR12x100mm thru-axle mounts; the Infinity rear hub is compatible with 10x135mm quick-release mounts and 12x142mm and 12x135mm thru-axles.
The Instant Drive 360 freehub system is super-light and ensures rapid power transfer with a mere 9-degree engagement angle. A large, contact-free rubber seal reduces friction. And a wide selection of axle stubs ensures compatibility with many mounting standards. The oversized aluminium axle and hardened aluminium freehub body save 40 g. Two sprockets ensure fast and loss-free power transfer. A radial seal guarantees low friction at high speeds and perfect water resistance. This freehub body is easy to convert and is available in an HG11 version for Shimano and SRAM 8–11-speed, SRAM XDR 12-speed road bike and Campagnolo 9–12-speed ED cassettes. A rubber damper is fitted as standard, which can be removed. For those who prefer a slightly more distinctive sound.
The super-light, genuine UST full-carbon rims of the Cosmic SLR wheelsets, with their undrilled rim bed and elliptical NACA rim profile, reduce rotating mass and ensure excellent acceleration. The 45 mm high full-carbon aero rims with a 19 mm rim width are perfectly designed for tyre widths of 25–32 mm. The new iTgMax rim technology offers the best possible durability even on disc rims, addressing the previous weak point of carbon rims. TgMAX technology is based on multiple layers of high-tech resin and is highly durable. The most reliable of all carbon rims can withstand even the roughest treatment from the toughest riders under the most brutal conditions. This is achieved by using two types of resin, each with a different glass transition temperature, on the braking flange.
The patented elliptical spoke shape significantly improves aerodynamics. The durability of Mavic stainless steel spokes is exceptionally high.
The new rim bed makes fitting tubeless tyres easier. The pronounced and wider grooves in the rim bed significantly simplify tubeless fitting. Mavic is thus setting the standard for easy tubeless fitting. The fitting process is no different from that of standard folding tyres. This allows the advantages of tubeless tyres – lower rolling resistance, greater riding comfort and reduced risk of punctures – to come into their own.
Of course, the Mavic Cosmic wheels can also be used with standard folding and clincher tyres and inner tubes without any issues. When out and about, we recommend carrying a standard inner tube as a quick puncture repair solution.
