E-bike brake disc, Shimano Deore XT Centerlock RT EM810 E, with magnets, Ice Tech Freeza, 203 mm diameter, including external lockring, external mounting
Shimano RTEM810 Centerlock brake disc
These brake discs, featuring an integrated magnet for speed detection, have been specially developed for e-bikes, but are of course also compatible with other bikes
The Shimano XT RT-EM 10 Ice Tech Centerlock brake discs on 4- or 5-star aluminium carriers are manufactured using a sandwich construction. The aluminium core is encased by the steel braking surface. This reduces heat build-up by a good 25 per cent and increases the durability of the Shimano MTB disc brakes. The revised Ice Tech Freeza brake discs at Deore XT level, RT-EM810, have been designed to ensure maximum heat dissipation, leading to more consistent braking performance and longer pad life.
External locking ring:
This lockring, featuring external tool teeth, can be fitted to all hub types, from 20 mm thru-axles to quick-release assemblies
Shimano XT Ice Tech Freeza brake disc technical specifications:
- Disc diameter 203 mm
- Weight: Disc 166 grams (manufacturer’s specification)
- With integrated magnet for e-bikes
- Disc thickness: 1.75 mm
- Wear limit 1.5 mm
- Compatible with all Shimano hydraulic disc brakes
- Includes lockring with external screw connection
Lockring with external screw connection – tool socket: 44 mm outer diameter with 16-tooth spline. Compatible tools e.g. Shimano TL-FC36, TL-FC32 or TL-FC33. Corresponds to the tool for Hollowtech II bottom bracket assembly
Shimano Ice Tech Freeza:
Freeza brake discs exhibit even less fading due to lower heat build-up compared to standard Shimano IceTec brake discs. The three-layer sandwich construction consists of stainless steel flanges and an aluminium core with integrated cooling fins. The two-piece design with the aluminium carrier dissipates heat effectively. The dirt-repellent design extends the service life of the disc and pads.
This Ice Tech brake disc is compatible with all Shimano hydraulic disc brakes.
