Shimano SM RT500 brake disc

The Shimano SM-RT-500 Ice Tech Freeza brake discs with additional cooling fins. The Centre Lock brake discs on the 4-star aluminium carrier are manufactured using a sandwich construction. The aluminium core is encased by the steel braking surface. This significantly reduces heat build-up and increases the durability of all Shimano brakes.

Shimano Ice Tech Freeza:

Freeza brake discs exhibit even less fading due to lower heat build-up compared to standard Shimano Ice Tech brake discs. The three-layer sandwich construction consists of stainless steel flanges and an aluminium core with integrated cooling fins. The two-part design with the aluminium carrier dissipates heat effectively. The dirt-repellent design extends the service life of both the disc and the pads.
