TRP HY/RD hydraulic disc brake
The hydraulic disc brake for road and cyclocross bikes, compatible with all mechanical brake levers.
The market for disc brakes for road and cyclocross bikes is growing steadily, and TRP is playing a truly pioneering role in this field. The semi-hydraulic HY/RD is, in fact, a high-quality dual-piston brake which, thanks to its compatibility with mechanical brake levers from Shimano and SRAM, allows you to quickly and easily enjoy the benefits of a hydraulic system on your own bike.
Flat Mount Standard:
The new Flat Mount caliper standard for road bike brakes reduces weight and offers a significantly sleeker look. With the Flat Mount standard, the rear brake caliper sits directly on the chainstay; no adapter is required for mounting the brake caliper. The bolts pass through the chainstay from below directly into the brake caliper. A flat adapter is still required on the fork. The adapter is screwed onto the rear of the fork leg, with the brake sitting directly on the adapter.

Flat Mount Caliper Standard:
The Flat Mount caliper standard, developed for road and gravel disc brakes, reduces weight and offers a significantly sleeker look. These brakes are only approved for disc sizes from 140 to 160 mm.
With the Flat Mount standard, the rear brake caliper sits directly on the chainstay; no adapter is required for 140 mm disc sizes to mount the brake caliper. For 160 mm disc sizes, an additional adapter is required, which is then mounted between the brake caliper and the frame. The bolts pass through the chainstay from below directly into the brake caliper.
A flat adapter is also required on the fork. The adapter is screwed onto the rear of the fork leg, with the brake sitting directly on the adapter. By rotating the adapter, the available brake disc sizes of 140 and 160 mm can be changed.
Bolt spacing: brake caliper 34 mm, frame rear triangle 34 mm, front fork 70 mm
