TRP Hylex RS hydraulic disc brake

The hydraulic disc brake for road bikes and cyclocross bikes, compatible with all mechanical brake levers.

The RS version of the Hylex features a perforated pattern in the brake levers, which both reduces weight and improves grip. As with the standard Hylex, integrated master cylinders are concealed beneath the covers. The brake levers impress with their flat profile and ergonomic design. The hydraulic disc brake is perfect for modern single-speed and single-speed cyclocross bikes, but not exclusively so, as the Hylex Di2 adapter kit for Shimano second-shift levers allows for conversion to electronic shifting.

Flat Mount Standard:

The new Flat Mount caliper standard for road bike brakes reduces weight and offers a significantly sleeker look. With the Flat Mount standard, the rear brake caliper sits directly on the chainstay; no adapter is required for caliper mounting. The bolts pass through the chainstay from below directly into the brake caliper. A flat adapter is still required on the fork. The adapter is screwed onto the rear of the fork leg, with the brake sitting directly on the adapter.
