TRP Spyre SLC mechanical disc brake
The mechanical disc brake for road bikes and cyclocross bikes, compatible with all mechanical brake levers.
This weight-optimised version of the Spyre is partly made of carbon and boasts a particularly elegant look. As with the standard Spyre, both pads are activated, ensuring precisely controllable braking power and even pad wear. A simple adjustment screw is all that is needed for tool-free adjustment or re-adjustment of the pads. The compact dimensions, low weight and compatibility with all standard mechanical road brake levers on the market round off the Spyre.
Flat Mount Standard:
The new Flat Mount Standard brake caliper for road bike brakes reduces weight and offers a significantly sleeker look. With the Flat Mount Standard, the rear brake caliper sits directly on the chainstay; no adapter is required for caliper mounting. The bolts pass through the chainstay from below directly into the brake caliper. A flat adapter is still required on the fork. The adapter is screwed onto the rear of the fork leg, with the brake sitting directly on the adapter.

Flat Mount brake caliper standard:
The Flat Mount caliper standard, developed for road and gravel disc brakes, reduces weight and offers a significantly sleeker look. These brakes are only approved for disc sizes from 140 to 160 mm.
With the Flat Mount standard, the rear brake caliper sits directly on the chainstay; no adapter is required for 140 mm disc sizes to mount the brake caliper. For 160 mm disc sizes, an additional adapter is required, which is then mounted between the brake caliper and the frame. The bolts pass through the chainstay from below directly into the brake caliper.
A flat adapter is also required on the fork. The adapter is screwed onto the rear of the fork leg, with the brake sitting directly on the adapter. By flipping the adapter over, the available brake disc sizes of 140 and 160 mm can be switched.
Bolt spacing: brake caliper 34 mm, frame rear triangle 34 mm, front fork 70 mm
