TA Specialite Alize chainring, 130mm bolt circle, 3-speed, mounted as middle chainring, 42 teeth, black
TA Specialite Alize 3-speed chainring
Unlike 2-speed chainrings, these chainrings feature shifting aids and allow for smoother shifting from the small third chainring to the middle chainring. Compatible with 3-speed road bike cranksets, e.g. Ultegra 6700, Dura-Ace 7900, FSA, Truvativ.
The 130mm bolt pattern is the classic Shimano road bike bolt pattern for cranksets with the ‘Race’ designation. A 38-tooth chainring can be fitted as the smallest, whilst the largest can have up to 60 teeth. This bolt pattern is also used on SRAM, FSA and other road bike cranksets. Only Campagnolo uses chainrings with the 135mm bolt pattern.
Compatible with 8-, 9- and 10-speed road bike cranksets:
The chainrings are designed for 9-speed chains, but can also be used without any problems with 8- and 10-speed chains and cranksets. On the crankset, the distance between the chainrings is determined by the crank arms. Therefore, it does not matter whether you use 8-speed, 9-speed or 10-speed chainrings.
Please note that the difference in tooth count between individual chainrings should not exceed 14 teeth. Otherwise, you will have to accept a reduction in shifting performance.
To determine the bolt circle diameter, please measure the distance between two adjacent holes (centre-to-centre) and multiply this value by 1.7. This will give you the bolt circle diameter.
