KMC X11SL derailleur chain, pre-waxed

KMC chains feature a very slim design, known as ‘lean construction’. In addition to being lighter, this design offers exceptionally smooth running and fewer chain jams. The Double X-Durability treatment involves a process in which all parts of the chain are specially hardened. This treatment makes the pins, in particular, highly resistant to dust and sand, significantly extending the chain’s lifespan. In a complex process, the plates of the SL chains are milled out and riveted with hollow pins. This achieves a significant weight saving without compromising stability or service life. They are extremely light and highly durable.

The chain locks, or missing links, for 11-speed chains allow for simple and secure installation. A standard chain tool is required to shorten the KMC chains to the correct length. The new 11-speed missing links are reusable.
