Shimano XTR FC-M985 crankset

The high-end MTB crankset with a large hollow chainring, hollow-forged cranks, and a 2-speed race gear ratio of 44/30 teeth. The crankset of choice for MTB pros, the Shimano Dyna-Sys XTR FCM 985 in the 2-speed version for 10-speed drivetrains, now featuring the new, improved, lighter XTR bottom bracket SM-BB93.

Thanks to the 10-speed cassette and new chainring spacing, the Shimano Dyna-Sys system enables significantly closer gear ratios, resulting in smoother and easier gear changes and reducing chain tension by up to 31 per cent. The double cranksets from the XTR Dyna-Sys series offer perfect power transfer thanks to a low Q-factor and, of course, save weight. The large and small chainrings are made from 7075 aluminium. The 40-tooth chainring is also hollow-forged and offers maximum lateral stiffness.
