Sram GX rear derailleur

The entry-level series in the Sram 11-speed MTB world: the Sram GX derailleur and drivetrain components. Thanks to the 11-speed XG cassettes with 10–42 teeth and the 2-speed cranksets, these derailleur components offer sufficient gear range for all applications.

Sram GX 11x2-speed rear derailleur:

Designed for SRAM 11-speed cassettes with a gear range of 10–42 teeth, the GX rear derailleurs offer high shifting precision.

SRAM Type 3 Roller Bearing Clutch:

In the new GX series rear derailleurs, Roller Bearing Clutch Technology ensures that the cage can build up tension. A clutch prevents the chain from moving forward too easily; the chain remains taut and does not strike the chainstay. This reliably prevents the chain from coming off, even without a chain guide on the crank.

SRAM Type 3 Cage Lock:

To enable quick and easy removal of the rear wheel, SRAM uses Cage Lock technology on its Type 3 rear derailleurs. At the touch of a button, the derailleur cage locks into place and can be swung out without tension, making wheel removal significantly easier. Once the rear wheel is refitted, the cage swings far forward, the spring tension is re-engaged, and the derailleur is ready for the trail.

Sram Type 3 Rear Derailleur Compatibility:

The Sram GX rear derailleur features a long cage and a 46-tooth capacity; this derailleur is designed for use on full-suspension bikes and can compensate for chain slack during suspension compression.

The SRAM GX 11-speed rear derailleurs are only compatible with SRAM 11-speed MTB and 11-speed road bike shifters. Not compatible with Shimano shifters.
