Shimano SLX SL-M7000 I Spec II shift lever

The new Shimano SLX 11-speed components, designed for use ranging from cross-country to enduro. Available with a crankset featuring 1 or 2 chainrings and an 11-speed cassette with a 11-40 or 11-42 tooth range. One of the major advantages of the SLX 7000 series is the compatibility of the cassettes with conventional rear wheels. The 11-speed MTB cassettes can be fitted to all freehubs designed for 9- and 10-speed Shimano MTB cassettes. This eliminates the need for the time-consuming conversion of the wheel to a different freehub body.

Shimano SLX SL-M7000 Rapidfire shifters:

The SLX Rapidfire 11-speed shift levers SL-M-7000-I are designed for direct mounting on 11-speed Shimano disc brake levers with the I-Spec Type II mount. This saves weight and creates plenty of space on the handlebars.The further optimised, ergonomic design of the Shimano SLX SL-M7000 Rapidfire shift levers literally takes shifting to a new level. The shift levers feature a dual-textured, non-slip surface and are equipped with all the latest high-end technologies such as Multi-Release, Instant-Release and 2-Way-Release.

Shimano I-Spec II mounting:

The SLX SL M7000 shift levers are suitable for direct mounting (I-Spec Type II) onto the brake levers of Shimano SLX, XT and XTR disc brakes (BLM 7000, 8000/8020 and BLM 9000/9020) with I-Spec II clamps. This mounting system allows for space-saving installation of the shift levers directly onto the brake lever clamp. Shimano has changed the I-Spec mount on the 11-speed systems; the SLX SLM7000 I-Spec II levers are not compatible with older I-Spec systems.

Shimano SLX 7000 Shift Lever Compatibility:

The new Shimano 11-speed SLX shift lever series is only compatible with SLX, XT and XTR 11-speed rear derailleurs and front derailleurs. The HG-601 chain is recommended. The 11-speed MTB cassettes are also compatible with 9-10-speed Shimano-compatible freehub bodies.
