Sram Rival 1 Groupset

The affordable Sram Rival 1 components feature the new Type 3.0 rear derailleur, developed for cyclocross and single-speed bikes. The Sram Rival 1 groupset combines the best technologies from Sram’s revolutionary XX1 mountain bike and road bike ranges. The complete drivetrain, with a single chainring and eleven gears, is lighter, simpler and more robust. The Sram Rival 1 ensures optimised chain guidance and smooth shifting, regardless of the conditions or terrain. Optionally, the Rival 1 can also be used with the XG 11-speed cassettes in the 10-42 range. This requires the rear derailleur with the long cage.

We also offer the Rival 1 groupset with the XG 11-speed cassettes XG 1130 and XG 1150. For these, the XD freehub body is required. These cassettes are not compatible with standard road bike HG 11 freehub bodies.

Sram Rival1 Type 3.0 X-Horizon rear derailleur

The long-cage rear derailleur is required for the 11–42 cassette.

The rear derailleur for the Sram Rival1 groupset. With its horizontal parallelogram design and offset upper pulley, X-HORIZON technology ensures a constant chainline across all 11 gears, delivering fast, precise shifting. Roller Bearing Clutch technology reduces chain slap. SRAM Cage Lock technology makes wheel changes easier despite the derailleur’s high spring tension.

Sram Rival 22-1 hydraulic Ergodynamic shift lever

The SRAM Rival 22 and 1 ErgoDynamic shift-brake levers feature a redesigned hydraulic master cylinder with a smaller, more ergonomic housing. The ErgoDynamic design offers first-class control and comfort, with a new grip width adjustment suitable for all hand sizes, and DoubleTap for smooth and precise shifting.

Sram Rival 1 Hydraulic disc brakes

The disc brakes from the Rival 1 series, designed for brake rotors up to 160 mm. The brake lever’s individual Reach Adjust grip width adjustment is now even easier to access using a standard Allen key. The new clamp allows for a better fit and adjustment for modern carbon and ergonomic handlebars. The hydraulic Sram Rival 1 disc brake offers top-class braking performance with minimal operating forces and excellent modulation. The loss of power and friction caused by cable transmission in classic cable-actuated brakes is eliminated with this system. Braking performance remains consistent in all weather conditions. Thanks to the separation of the rim/tyre and the braking surface, issues with heat build-up are elegantly resolved.

Flat Mount Standard:

The new Flat Mount caliper standard for road bike brakes reduces weight and offers a significantly sleeker look. With the Flat Mount standard, the rear caliper sits directly on the chainstay; no adapter is required for caliper mounting. The bolts pass through the chainstay from below directly into the brake caliper. A flat adapter is still required on the fork. The adapter is screwed onto the rear of the fork leg, with the brake sitting directly on the adapter. By flipping the adapter, the brake disc size can be changed between 140 and 160 mm.

Post Mount Standard:

The Post Mount brake caliper mount, with a bolt spacing of 74 mm, allows the brake calipers to be mounted on both Post Mount and Flat Mount forks or frames.

Sram Rival 1 crankset:

The new Rival 1 crank arms are also based on the SRAM Rival 22 models. Equipped with a crank spider and the Rival X-Sync chainring for single-speed use, the crankset offers the perfect stiffness-to-weight ratio. A lightweight aluminium crank arm and a spider made from forged aluminium ensure lightness and durability. SRAM’s X-SYNC chainring technology, with alternating wide and narrow tooth spacing, ensures maximum chain control, which is particularly crucial in cyclocross races.

SRAM PG 1130 Cassette:

In the optimised design of the Power Glide 1130 cassette, the three large sprockets are mounted on a weight-reducing spider, and the smaller sprockets are refined with shifting channels. This results in a cassette that shifts efficiently and reliably in all situations. Perfectly matched to 11-speed drivetrains and chains, the Rival 22 cassettes offer top performance at an attractive price.

Sram XG 1130/1130 cassette:

We also offer the Rival 1 groupset with the XG 11-speed cassettes XG 1130 and XG 1130. The XD freehub body is required for these.

The 11-speed SRAM XG cassette, with a 10-42-tooth range, offers an incredible gear ratio range whilst maintaining optimal spacing. In combination with the XD freehub, it connects perfectly to the wheel. The Full Pin cassette design, featuring 123 high-strength steel pins, reduces weight and offers high engagement. The open design is less prone to dirt, ensuring smoother shifting and longer durability.

Sram PC 1130 chain:

The SRAM Power Chain technology of the PC 1130 chain: Chain assembly with SRAM is secure, simple and reliable thanks to the new Power Lock. The Power Lock can be locked without tools. This special chain link guarantees reliable chain assembly. Due to its very narrow profile, the Power Lock can no longer be opened by hand.
