Sram Rival 1 rear derailleur

The affordable Sram Rival 1 components, designed for cyclocross and single-speed bikes. The Sram Rival 1 groupset combines the best technologies from Sram’s revolutionary XX1 mountain bike and road bike ranges. The complete drivetrain, featuring a single chainring and eleven gears, is lighter, simpler and more robust. The Sram Rival 1 ensures optimised chain guidance and smooth shifting, regardless of the conditions or terrain. Optionally, the Rival 1 can also be used with XG 11-speed cassettes with a 10-42 tooth range. This requires the rear derailleur with the long cage.

SRAM Rival 1 Type 3.0 X-Horizon rear derailleur

The Rival 1 series long cage rear derailleur is compatible with cassettes up to 42 teeth.
The rear derailleur for the SRAM Rival 1 groupset. With its horizontal parallelogram design and offset upper pulley, X-HORIZON technology ensures a constant chainline across all 11 gears, delivering fast, precise shifting. Roller Bearing Clutch technology reduces chain slap. SRAM Cage Lock technology makes wheel changes easier despite the rear derailleur’s high spring tension. Together with the Rival CX1 shifter, the Rival 1 X-Horizon rear derailleur forms the backbone of X-Actuation technology for incredibly smooth shifting performance.

SRAM Exact Actuation technology:

SRAM relies on Exact Actuation technology with a 1:1 cable-to-gear ratio. This has two significant advantages. Shifting accuracy is very high, and all SRAM rear derailleurs featuring this technology are compatible with all shift levers using Exact Actuation technology, including MTB rear derailleurs with road bike shift levers and vice versa. This means, for example, that 9-speed shift levers can be combined with 11-speed rear derailleurs.
