Shimano SLX RD M7100 rear derailleur

The affordable Shimano SLX 12-speed components, the simpler version featuring the technology of the XT and XTR series, designed for use ranging from cross-country to enduro. The SLX components designated 7100 are designed for 1x12 and 1x12-speed drivetrains. The new Deore SLX M7100 series boasts a host of technical highlights, including Shimano’s groundbreaking 12-speed Micro Spline cassettes, available with a range of 10–45 or 10–51 teeth, 1x12 or 2x12-speed Hollowtech II cranksets, high-performance two- and four-piston brakes, I-Spec EV shift levers, 12-speed rear derailleurs and front derailleurs.

Shimano SLX RD-M7100 rear derailleur:

The SLX RD-M7100 SGS long cage rear derailleur for use with Shimano 12-speed cassettes in 10-45 and 10-51 tooth configurations and a single chainring. The SLX Shadow Plus 7100 rear derailleur shifts with extreme precision, speed and smoothness. The new, slimmer design and extremely precise machining ensure high shifting precision and a long service life. With the ability to adjust the friction damper as desired via a screw mechanism, the system can be tuned to prioritise maximum stability or minimal operating force. Furthermore, the rear derailleur features an even slimmer profile, which protects it from damage and further reduces operating force thanks to the shallow angle of engagement.

Shimano Shadow Plus:

The Shimano Shadow Plus mechanism has been further developed on the XT RDM 8100 rear derailleur. With the ability to adjust the friction damper as desired via a screw mechanism, the system can be fine-tuned for maximum stability or minimal operating forces. Furthermore, the rear derailleur features an even slimmer profile, which protects it from damage and further reduces operating forces thanks to the shallow angle of engagement.

Shimano SLX 100 Rear Derailleur Compatibility:

The new Shimano SLX 100 rear derailleur series is only compatible with 12-speed Shimano MTB shifters and 12-speed Shimano cassettes. The CNM7100 chain is recommended. The new 12-speed cassettes are only compatible with the new Micro Spline freehub bodies
