Shimano SLX SL-M7100 shift lever

The affordable Shimano SLX 12-speed components, the simpler version featuring the technology of the XT and XTR series, designed for use ranging from cross-country to enduro. The SLX components designated 7100 are designed for 1x12 and 1x12-speed drivetrains. The new Deore SLX M7100 series boasts a host of technical highlights, including Shimano’s groundbreaking 12-speed Micro Spline cassettes, available with a range of 10–45 or 10–51 teeth, 1x12 or 2x12-speed Hollowtech II cranksets, powerful two- and four-piston brakes, I-Spec EV shifters, 12-speed rear derailleurs and front derailleurs.

Shimano SLX SL-M7100 Rapidfire shifters:

The SLX Rapidfire 12-speed shift lever SL-M7100 is available as an I-Spec EV direct mount for current Shimano disc brakes with I-Spec EV mount, or as a classic mount with a handlebar clamp. Operating forces have been reduced by 35 per cent thanks to a modified gear ratio combined with lower cage tension at the rear derailleur. However, thanks to a redesigned internal mechanism, the M7100 shifter shifts 20 per cent faster, allowing the rider to react even more quickly to changing road conditions. The shifters feature a dual-textured, non-slip surface and are equipped with all the latest high-end technologies, such as 2-Way Release.

Shimano SLX 7100 Shifter Compatibility:

The new Shimano SLX 100 shifter series is only compatible with Shimano 12-speed MTB rear derailleurs and 12-speed Shimano MTB cassettes. The CNM7100 chain is recommended. The 12-speed cassettes are only compatible with the new Micro Spline freehub bodies.

Shimano I-Spec EV:

The new I-Spec EV version of the Shimano shifters and brakes offers a wide adjustment range, with 14 mm of lateral adjustment, ensuring optimal shifter ergonomics. With the I-Spec EV version, the shifter can be mounted on I-Spec EV brake levers in a space-saving manner. The new I-Spec EV version is not compatible with older brakes.
