Sram Apex 1 HRD disc brake
The new key to great fun, now with an integrated switch for mechanical dropper seatposts. The new dropper switch on the left brake lever can now operate a mechanical dropper seatpost, enabling a tidy cockpit setup and convenient raising and lowering of the seatpost directly via the brake lever. So if you’re a fan of adjustable seatposts, you’ll know how hard it is to go back to a fixed seatpost.
The Sram Apex 1 brake lever features the HydroR brake platform, with revised ergonomics for an even better grip. This means braking requires even less effort – no matter the terrain or conditions.

The Flat Mount brake caliper standard was developed for road bike use, reduces weight and offers a significantly sleeker look. The Flat Mount brake calipers are only compatible with 140 and 160 mm brake disc diameters. The brake calipers are the same for the front and rear wheels.
An adapter is always required for front wheel installation, item no.: 00.5318.018.000. By rotating the adapter, the brake disc size can be changed between 140 and 160 mm.
For rear wheel installation, with a 140 mm disc size, the brake caliper is bolted directly onto the chainstay. An adapter is required for installation with 160 mm brake discs, item no.: 00.5318.018.001. Additionally, bolts are required to mount the brake caliper to the frame. The bolts pass through the chainstay from below directly into the brake caliper or into the adapter. These are also available in different lengths to suit the varying thicknesses of the frame’s rear stays.
Flat mount adapters from other manufacturers can also be used. However, the bolts vary depending on the manufacturer; please use only the original SRAM mounting bolts in this case.
