IS/Integrated Standard – fully integrated headset:
Headset assemblies designated IS / Integrated Standard are also referred to as fully integrated headsets. These headsets require a frame designed for this purpose, with a raceway for the bearings. Integrated Standard refers to the fact that the bearings are inserted into the head tube without bearing cups, and, for example, IS44 refers to the installation dimension, the outer diameter of the bearings and the inner diameter of the bearings in the frame. These headsets do not require any special tools; the frame is already prepared for them.
