The headset offering excellent value for money in terms of durability and quality. Based on the premium design of the 110 series, it includes all the features that characterise a reliable headset. Available in various heights, as top cups or bottom cups for every frame and fork steerer – precision-manufactured by Cane Creek in Fletcher, NC.
Cane Creek bearings:
Fitted with high-quality cartridge bearings, double-sealed with low-friction clip seals, which are designed to protect all components from dirt and corrosion. This significantly extends service life and reduces maintenance intervals to a minimum. All excellent prerequisites for a low-maintenance and reliable headset.
ZS56/28.6 top thread:
The ZS headset is pressed into the head tube at the top; the press-fit dimension in the frame is 56 mm at the top and the fork steerer tube diameter is 1 1/8 inch / 28.6 mm at the top.
ZS56/40 bottom insertion depth:
The EC headset is pressed into the head tube at the bottom; the press-fit dimension in the frame is 44 mm and the fork steerer tube diameter is 1.5 inches at the bottom. The headset cone requires a 40 mm seat on the fork.
ZS/Zero Stack – semi-integrated headset:
ZS / Zero Stack headsets are press-fit; depending on how well the frame is prepared, special tools may be required. Unlike EC headsets, the bearing cups are located inside the frame, which is why ZS headsets typically require a thicker head tube. This design allows for a low profile, as only a narrow flange protrudes beyond the head tube when assembled. This is why ZS headsets are also referred to as semi-integrated.
