DT Swiss Aluminium Rotor Hubs, Ratchet EXP Tooth Disc System – Road bike hubs, Superlight Ceramic bearings, for 12-speed and 13-speed Campagnolo N3W cassettes with right-hand stop for 12x142/148mm thru-axle fitting
DT Swiss EXP Freehub Body
The high-end freehub body from the EXP series with Sinc Ceramic bearings
For converting DT Swiss EXP road bike hubs, road bike and gravel rear wheels with the Ratchet EXP system, to Campagnolo 12-speed and 13-speed N3W cassettes.
- The kit includes the freehub body and the right-hand frame end cap for 12x142mm or 12x148mm thru-axle mounting. The right-hand end caps for the mounting dimensions are the same; the hub widths differ.
- The Ratchet EXP freehub bodies are only compatible with DT Swiss 240 EXP and 180 EXP road bike hubs and rear wheels fitted with these hubs. A separate version is available for DT Swiss MTB hubs.
- DT Swiss manufactures specific right-hand end caps for each cassette system, such as Shimano HG10, Shimano HG11, Shimano Micro Spline, Sram XD, Sram XDR, Campa ED and Campa N3W. These are also required for conversion if not already present. The right-hand end caps for older systems, such as 3-pawl or Ratchet Star, are also compatible with the new freehub bodies.
- The N3W freehub bodies can be upgraded using the Campagnolo adapter (part no. AC21-N3W). This allows Campagnolo ED 10-speed, 11-speed and 12-speed cassettes to be fitted.
Not compatible with Pawl / 3-pawl, Ratchet LN, Ratchet Star or Ratchet DEG hubs.
Not compatible with MTB hubs and wheelsets.
Not suitable for converting hubs to a different installation size
SINC ceramic ball bearings have been developed by DT Swiss as a system. They are based on balls made from the ceramic material silicon nitride, Si3N4, which is extremely durable and resistant to wear and corrosion. The bearing rings are made from a specially developed steel alloy tailored to the properties of the ceramic material and are precision-ground. This combination reduces rolling resistance to an absolute minimum and ensures a longer service life compared to conventional ball bearings.
