In the new Upside Down version, now also available, it can also be mounted beneath the handlebars. This extends the Airstream 2’s range of applications to include bicycles with integrated handlebar-stem units or aero/TT cockpits. Thanks to its waterproof and robust housing, the battery-powered light is equipped to handle even the harshest weather conditions. The matching AIRSTREAM TL 2 rear light can be easily connected to the front headlight. Our service promise: a 5-year warranty and at least 10 years of repairability for all lighting systems!

With its dazzling light, the Airstream cuts through the night even on the lowest setting. The wide beam of light cast by the Airstream 2 illuminates both roads and secluded trails with ease. The illuminated logo further enhances side visibility. The Airstream 2 is equipped with the best lithium-ion batteries, giving it an incredible runtime. A red and a green LED provide constant feedback on the Airstream 2’s current charge level. The Airstream 2 is made from anodised, corrosion-resistant aluminium of the kind used in the aerospace industry. This material is saltwater-resistant and extremely scratch-resistant, combined with incredible lightness. With the various mounts, the Airstream 2 can be adapted to suit every need. The handlebar mount can be fitted in seconds thanks to the rubber mount, whilst the helmet mount ensures comfort. The quick-release mount transforms the Airstream into a torch in no time at all. The Airstream 2 comes in a high-quality box, together with a charger, built-in battery and handlebar mount.

Terralux 4 Lens

The TERRAFLUX lens was a milestone in Supernova’s development and is now in its 4th generation. Hardly any other lens of this size produces such bright and even illumination. Thanks to sophisticated light guidance, the TERRAFLUX lens directs 90 per cent of the light to where it is most urgently needed: onto the road. There, it creates a wide and even carpet of light that extends from the front wheel far into the horizon. The permanent daytime running light integrated into the lens ensures excellent visibility of the rider in traffic during the day. At night, this light is used to provide superb ambient illumination, making road signs and low-hanging branches clearly visible.

Aluminium housing

For our housings, we use aerospace-grade aluminium because it is not only extremely sturdy but also has excellent thermal conductivity. The better the cooling, the brighter the LED. Cooling fins on the housings increase the surface area, allowing heat to be dissipated more effectively. Furthermore, the housings are salt-water-resistant anodised and withstand the harshest conditions. Extreme tests carried out in all seasons and climate zones by ultracycling athletes using Supernova lighting demonstrate the outstanding reliability and durability.

LED Cooling

Maximum performance with the best possible efficiency is our credo. The enormous brightness levels of our headlight systems can only be achieved through sophisticated cooling of the high-performance LEDs. Because: the better an LED is cooled, the brighter it shines. Service life is also significantly extended by good cooling. Careful material selection and sophisticated design are among the most important prerequisites for ideal heat dissipation. For example, completely uninterrupted heat dissipation can only be achieved through a housing seamlessly machined from a single piece of aluminium. In extreme situations, an integrated heat sensor also ensures the spotlight always remains within the optimum temperature range. Through computationally intensive computer simulations, our engineers identify the most suitable method for dissipating heat from the LEDs at an early stage.
