All Mountain, Trail, Enduro rear wheel 27.5, MTB, DT Swiss 350 MTB straight-pull hub, laced with Stan’s Notubes ZTR Flow MK4 rim and DT Swiss spokes, by TNC

Rear wheel DT Swiss 350 Disc hubs plus Stans NoTubes ZTR Flow

The extra-sturdy and lightweight 27.5-inch rear wheel for demanding all-mountain, trail, enduro and freeride use, featuring the new robust and lightweight DT Swiss 350 straight-pull hubs and Stans NoTubes ZTR Flow rims with a 30 mm rim width and asymmetrical rim profile. Extremely sturdy and suitable for wide tyres, yet weighing just 487 grams.

We offer the wheelsets with freehub bodies for Shimano, SRAM XD cassettes or Microspline. The DT Swiss 350 hubs are available as thru-axle versions, including Boost, and as quick-release versions. Optionally with 6-bolt disc or Centerlock brake disc mounts.

Stans NoTubes ZTR Flow MK4

Experience gained from successful World Cup DH races, combined with the wide 30 mm Stans WideRide rim width, results in outstanding tyre stability when cornering hard at virtually any speed. With the WideRight System introduced by Stans NoTubes, the rim width increases to 30 millimetres – for even better tyre support and full volume deployment. Inspired by Stans carbon rims, the new rim profile, combined with the new 6069 aluminium alloy, increases lateral stiffness and impact resistance whilst reducing the risk of snake bites. The asymmetrical rim profile ensures even spoke tension and excellent lateral stiffness.

Wheel building at TNC-Hamburg:

We hand-build these wheels exclusively for you. Thanks to over 30 years’ experience in wheel building, we extract the optimum in roundness, durability and stiffness from the material. These wheels are, of course, pressure-tested multiple times; we also pre-load the spokes in both the radial and lateral directions. This eliminates the need for re-truing over a long period of time. We use DT Swiss spokes exclusively. These ensure outstanding durability of the wheels. For enduro use, we recommend brass nipples.

These wheelsets are custom-made for you, which is why we cannot offer a right of withdrawal for them. Please feel free to enquire about other wheel set configurations. We will then send you a quote.

DT Swiss 350 Straightpull hubs

With the new 350 hubs, DT Swiss offers affordable, technically advanced hubs. Now featuring a significant weight reduction and 36-tooth ratchet discs. From road bike to downhill versions, the 350 hub range is designed for maximum durability. Straightpull refers to straight, non-offset spokes. Thanks to this technology, it is possible to achieve an ideal balance between weight and stability. The straight-pull spokes allow for very precise alignment and optimised positioning within the wheel, resulting in a stiffer and more responsive wheel.

DT Swiss Straightpull:

  • Straightpull spoke positioning: Straightpull lacing allows for precise placement and alignment of the spokes. This optimises wheel stiffness and eliminates any unwanted stress peaks.
  • Straightpull hub shell: DT Swiss straight pull hub shells require minimal material, allowing them to be constructed to be lightweight yet stable.
  • Straightpull lacing pattern: With crossed lacing, the spoke anchoring is designed so that the forces introduced almost cancel each other out. This increases the precision of the bearing race and further extends the service life of the ball bearings.

Notubes BST:

Notubes’ Bead Socket Technology. This special rim design features a wide rim bed with a low flange for high tyre stability and full tyre volume development. The BST technology improves air retention in tubeless systems, results in less rotating mass and virtually increases the effective rim width compared to competitors. A wide rim also reduces tyre flexing in corners and allows the tyre to be ridden with lower air pressure. The ZTR rims are fully tubeless-compatible when used with rim tape and a valve.

DT Competition spokes:

The double cold-forged spoke made from rust-resistant 18/10 chrome-nickel steel with a tapered middle section for robust, lightweight wheelsets. We recommend these spokes for virtually all wheelsets. Extremely durable and sufficiently lightweight, DT Competition spokes enable wheel building at the highest level. Thanks to the tapered section in the middle, the spokes absorb movements in the wheel exceptionally well, without compromising on lateral stiffness and durability. Weight with nipple approx. 7 grams

DT Competition Race spokes:

Just as versatile as the bent version of the DT Competition spoke, but in a straight design. They are optimally matched to the new straight-pull hubs and offer even greater durability compared to the conventional DT Competition spoke. Thanks to the extra-thin middle section, they save a further 70 g per wheel compared to the already lightweight DT Competition, whilst offering almost the same stiffness and durability.

DT Swiss Aero Comp spokes:

Designed for stable, laterally stiff yet aerodynamic wheelsets, the DT Swiss Aero Comp spoke in the straight-pull version is first cold-forged in the middle section, making it lighter and stronger. In a further complex process, it is flat-forged to optimise aerodynamic properties whilst simultaneously increasing material strength. The DT Aero Comp guarantees a balanced combination of stiffness, aerodynamics and durability.

DT Swiss Aero Lite spokes:

The DT Swiss Aerolite spoke is flatter and lighter than any other; the DT Swiss Aerolite spoke features an aerodynamic flat profile and is extremely lightweight. Thanks to the 0.9 x 2.3 mm aerodynamic mid-section, this spoke can be fitted to all standard hubs. The Cold Forging Technology (CFT) developed by DT Swiss makes the reduced and forged DT Aerolite the lightest stainless steel spoke and gives it excellent mechanical properties. Particularly suitable for super-light and fast road or cross-country wheelsets. 64 DT Aerolite spokes weigh an incredible 278 g at a length of 264 mm. Weight per spoke at a length of 264 mm: 4.31 grams.

DT Squorx spoke nipples:

The DT Swiss Squorx Pro Head nipple combines ease of installation with light weight thanks to the DT Pro Head shape, combined with an additional Torx and square tool socket. The Torx socket provides a larger contact area during wheel building, ensuring that the force from the tool is better distributed across the nipple. The spherical contact area within the rim guarantees perfect alignment with the spoke.
