Shimano XT Boost plus DT Swiss EX 511 wheelset
The wheelset for enduro and trail riding. Thanks to a 30 mm inner rim width, it is suitable for tyres up to 3.0” wide, and the robust Shimano XT Boost hubs make it very durable and low-maintenance. The Shimano M8010 hubs are designed for 12x110 and 12x148 mm Boost axle standards. Despite the super-sturdy and wide DT Swiss rims, the wheelset weighs only approx. 2040 grams
Wheel building at TNC-Hamburg:
We manufacture these wheels entirely by hand for you. Thanks to more than 30 years’ experience in wheel building, we extract the optimum in concentricity, durability and stiffness from the materials. These wheels are, of course, pressure-tested multiple times, and we also pre-load the spokes in the longitudinal direction. This eliminates the need for re-truing over a long period of time.
These wheelsets are made to order specifically for you, which is why we cannot offer a right of return for them.
Shimano XT M8010 Boost hubs
New seals and axle provide reliable protection against contamination of the bearings. Equipped with a new 4-pawl freehub body for loss-free power transmission. The Centerlock mount allows for easy mounting of Shimano Centerlock brake discs. An adapter is available for 6-hole brake discs.
DT Swiss Competition spokes:
The double cold-forged spoke made from rust-resistant 18/10 chrome-nickel steel with a tapered middle section for robust, lightweight wheels. We recommend these spokes for virtually all wheelsets. Extremely durable and sufficiently lightweight, the DT Competition spokes enable wheel building of the highest standard. Thanks to the tapered section in the middle, the spokes absorb movement in the wheel exceptionally well, without compromising on lateral stiffness or durability.
DT Swiss EX 511 Disc rim
The 35 mm wide Enduro rim from DT Swiss, the EX 511. Designed for wide Enduro tyres, the DT EX 511 rim offers very high stability whilst weighing just 535 grams. Thanks to extensive FEM analyses, DT Swiss EX 511 rims feature material only where it is actually needed. These rims are supplied with special DT Squorx Pro Head nipples and PHR washers and must only be laced using these nipples. With the wide EX 511 rim, DT Swiss offers a rim for stable Enduro wheelsets with really wide tyres. Cleanly finished, with a welded bead and stainless steel eyelets, the DT offers high stability at a low weight
The DT Swiss Ex 511 rims are equipped with rim flanges adapted for tubeless tape and can be easily upgraded to lightweight tubeless rims using DT Swiss tubeless tape
