DT Swiss WTS, Wheel Tire System:

When Swiss Side’s aerodynamic expertise, Continental’s tyre know-how and DT Swiss’s wheel expertise come together, the result is not just the AERO 111 tyre, but a perfected storm. Specially designed aero chambers form the basis for the tyre’s patented tread pattern and generate a turbulent airflow on the surface, which keeps the oncoming air flowing along the rim shape for longer. The result is an optimisation of the sail effect, which delays early flow separation from the rim and thus forms the basis for the most advanced aero wheel-tyre system. It doesn’t matter whether you or your friends are aiming for personal bests or competing in professional races: the tyre reduces wind resistance whilst improving handling and ride characteristics, propelling you forward.

ARC 1400 DICUT® DB

The aero wheelset for varied and tight courses that demand excellent handling. The new DT Swiss ARC 1400 wheelset series with a 20 mm rim width and EXP hubs – the budget-friendly version of the ARC 1400 featuring stainless steel bearings and AeroComp spokes – offers the same outstanding aerodynamic properties as the ARC 1100 series. Working closely with the aero experts at SWISS SIDE, we have achieved reduced sensitivity to crosswinds and improved the overall aerodynamics of the wheels. In moderate crosswinds, the rider benefits from the forward momentum provided by the sail effect, as well as a stable aerodynamic position with full control over the bike.

The Aero Disc wheelset for marathon and race bikes. The 50 mm high and 26.5 mm wide elliptical full-carbon aero rim allows the use of wide, excellent-rolling tubeless tyres, whilst the asymmetrical design provides very high lateral stiffness for maximum steering precision. The DT Swiss ARC 1400 Dicut Disc wheels are lightweight, weighing just approx. 1552 grams with a 50 mm rim height. Finally, the patented EXP Ratchet System guarantees durability and easy maintenance of the wheel. Thanks to the internal spoke nipples, the highly aerodynamic hubs and the rims developed in collaboration with Swiss Side, the ARC Dicut series offers ultimate aero performance

DT Swiss ARC 1400 Dicut hubs:

The ARC Dicut hubs are perfectly matched to the Nail Häd spoke system and offer the best aerodynamics of any DT Swiss hub. Equipped with high-quality stainless steel bearings and a widened flange spacing for optimum lateral stiffness at a low weight. The ratchet body with EXP Ratchet Star pawl is virtually maintenance-free and easy to convert.

DT Swiss ARC 1400 Dicut rims:

The ARC 1400 carbon rims, developed entirely in collaboration with Swiss Side, offer the best aerodynamics and excellent handling in all wind conditions. Extensively tested and optimised in the wind tunnel, the ARC 1400 rims offer the best compromise between aerodynamics and handling. The decor is applied using a new process and does not affect aerodynamics in any way. With a 20 mm inner rim width, they are ideal for tyres from 26.5 mm wide and, of course, tubeless ready.

Hooked / Crotchet tubeless TC:

‘Hooked’ or ‘Crotchet’ refers to the shape of the rim flange, which features a so-called hook. This aids in securing the tyre bead and ensures reliable performance, even when using high tyre pressure (> 5 bar). ‘Tubeless’ means that the rim can be ridden without an inner tube, although a setup with an inner tube is also possible.

DT Swiss ARC 1400 Dicut spokes:

The lacing pattern, using the Nail Head System and straight-pull spokes, ensures that the spokes cannot twist under load, meaning they always remain at the most aerodynamically favourable angle. The DT Swiss Aerocomp spokes, in combination with the internal Prolock Hidden spoke nipples, ensure outstanding aerodynamics.

DT Swiss Ratchet EXP freehub:

The proven DT Swiss Ratchet System in the new EXP version, featuring a toothed disc freehub body, allows for easy conversion to various axle or rotor standards. The integration of the toothed disc and threaded ring reduces the number of components, thereby lowering the weight. A single cylindrical spring ensures faster, complete engagement and thus greater reliability.

The DT Swiss Ratchet EXP rear hubs can be easily converted to standard mountings, 10x135mm quick-release and 12x142mm thru-axle mountings. The new end caps with an even more precise fit ensure even greater durability. The rear hubs can be converted to Campagnolo ED, Shimano HG, Microspline and Sram XDR, XD freehub bodies without the need for tools.
