The Aero 111 tyre is the perfect result of the collaboration between DT Swiss, Continental and Swiss Side. The patented tread with specially designed aero segments reduces air resistance and thus optimises the gliding effect. Furthermore, the AERO 111 impresses with outstanding grip, minimised rolling resistance and excellent puncture protection.

With a 22 mm rim width and 30 mm Aero Plus rims, the DT Swiss 1800 2Spline 30 Disc wheelsets are fast endurance and all-road wheels for road and light off-road use. Also perfectly suited for touring and travel bike use. Equipped with DT Swiss Spline 370 straight-pull hubs, lightweight and sturdy 30 mm high rims with a 2 mm rim width and Ratchet LN freehub bodies. The wide Aero aluminium rim for tyre widths up to 45 mm offers comfort and safety on all surfaces.

DT Swiss WTS, Wheel Tire System:

When Swiss Side’s aerodynamic expertise, Continental’s tyre know-how and DT Swiss’s wheel expertise come together, the result is not just the AERO 111 tyre, but a perfected storm. Continental Aero 111:

AERO 111: The next generation of aerodynamic road tyre performance, developed in close collaboration with the experts at DT Swiss and Swiss Side. The AERO 111 is based on the race-proven technologies of the GP5000 TR series and sets new standards in aerodynamics. The race-optimised Black Chili Compound ensures excellent grip and lower rolling resistance, whilst the proven Vectran Breaker provides puncture protection. The patented, aerodynamically optimised tread design features 48 precision-moulded air chambers. These so-called ‘vortex generators’ create controlled turbulence, causing the airflow to cling to the rim for longer, which reduces drag and optimises handling in crosswinds.

DT Swiss 1800 Spline Disc Hubs:

Equipped with a Centerlock mount, the DT Swiss 1800 Spine Straightpull Disc hubs from the DT 370 series are compatible with all types of brake discs; adapters for 6-bolt brake discs are available as an option. The DT Swiss Spline Disc hubs, featuring an optimised hub shell for straight-pull spokes and the proven Ratchet LN 18 freehub system based on the classic DT Swiss 370 hubs, are exceptionally durable; the rear hubs can be serviced without tools.

DT Swiss Straight Pull Spokes

To achieve an ideal balance between weight and stability, only the highest-quality Aero Comp Wide straight-pull spokes are used in the Spline wheelsets. They are more stable than conventional spokes yet can still be trued and replaced using standard tools.

DT Swiss E 1800 Spline 30 Disc rims

30 mm height and Aero+ design ensure optimum aerodynamics. The rim, with a 22 mm rim width, also allows for the fitting of wider tyres for maximum comfort. The high-quality rim is lightweight and stable. The Hooked / Crochet tubeless TC rim profile keeps the tyres securely on the rim. The rims are supplied with tubeless rim tape already fitted.

DT Swiss Ratchet LN freehub body:

The proven DT Swiss Star Ratchet LN system with the toothed freehub body allows for easy conversion to various axle or rotor standards. The DT Swiss Ratchet LN rear hubs can be easily converted to fit the mounts commonly used by different cassette systems.
