The Mavic Aksium Disc is perfect for everyday use on a road bike – with its balanced combination of high-quality, lightweight materials and a durable construction, it offers road bike beginners noticeable performance benefits. The Aksium Disc is also specifically designed with several special features tailored to disc brakes and their particular requirements. Straight spokes ensure stiffness and stability – the number of spokes has been increased to 24 at both the front and rear. Thanks to a 17 mm internal width, the rims are designed for tyre widths of up to 32 mm, ensuring versatility and comfort even on rough roads. The special disc brake hubs are fitted with high-quality QRM bearings, which combine minimal friction with maximum durability and require no maintenance. The Mavic Aksium Disc wheelset weighs under 2000 grams. Despite the weight saving, the rims have become even more stable and durable thanks to H2 cold-forging. High-quality hub technology with industrial bearings, 20 spokes per wheel, cleanly finished, robust rims specially designed for use with disc brakes – and all at a price at which you couldn’t even build your own wheels. The ideal wheelset for racing, cyclocross, training and road touring.
