Mavic Aksium wheelset:

The Aksium rims are now wider to allow for greater air volume and tyres up to 32 mm wide. The ultra-robust hubs excel in terms of mileage and reliability. This wheelset features top-of-the-range Mavic technologies: straight spokes, versatile and lightweight rims, and low-maintenance industrial bearings.The rims have become even more stable and durable thanks to H2 cold-forging. High-quality hub technology with industrial bearings, 20 spokes per wheel, cleanly finished, robust rims – and all at a price at which you couldn’t even build your own wheels.

Mavic Aksium technologies:

• QRM – industrial bearings of this quality are only found in Mavic hubs. On QRM wheels with double seals, of the 2RS or LLU type, and with extremely tight tolerances.
• UB Control – Retrofitted brake flanges ensure better braking performance and prevent unpleasant braking judder.
• FTS-L Freehub Body – The key freehub components are specifically reinforced: at the contact surface between the pawls and the hub body with two stainless steel inserts, allowing the hub body to be made entirely from aluminium. Advantages: higher efficiency thanks to better power transmission and a lighter, more robust hub design.
• H2 – Special cold-hardening in the critical spoke hole area, where the load is highest.
