Wheel building at TNC-Hamburg:

We manufacture these wheels entirely by hand for you. Thanks to more than 30 years’ experience in wheel building, we extract the optimum in roundness, durability and stiffness from the material. These wheels are, of course, tested multiple times; we also pre-load the spokes in both the radial and lateral directions. This eliminates the need for re-truing over a long period of time. We use DT Swiss spokes exclusively. These ensure outstanding durability of the wheels. For DH and Enduro use, we recommend brass nipples.

These wheelsets are custom-made for you, which is why we cannot offer a right of return for them. We do not offer cash on delivery for these wheelsets.

Hubs: DT Swiss 240 EXP Straightpull

The DT Swiss 240 EXP Straightpull hubs offer minimal weight combined with exceptional durability – a rarity in hub construction. The new axle system, with 15 per cent more support width, increases hub stiffness. The ‘EXP’ in the DT Swiss 240 hubs stands for the integration of the gear ring and threaded ring, which reduces the number of components and thus lowers the weight. A single coil spring ensures faster, complete engagement and thus greater reliability. The full meshing of the 36-tooth pawls creates a large contact area and thus low point loads, resulting in superior reliability. The stainless steel ball bearings have proven to be extremely reliable and durable since the introduction of the 240 hubs. The patented freehub body works with interlocking ratchet discs. This guarantees loss-free power transmission. Straightpull refers to straight, non-offset spokes. Thanks to this technology, it is possible to achieve an ideal balance between weight and stability.

DT Swiss Ratchet EXP System:

The tried-and-tested DT Swiss Star Ratchet System, now in the new lightweight EXP version with a toothed disc freehub body, allows for easy conversion to various rotor standards.

DT Competition Straight:

Just as versatile as the bent version of the DT Competition spoke, but as a straight spoke. They are optimally matched to the new Straightpull hubs and offer even greater durability compared to the conventional DT Competition spoke. Thanks to the extra-thin centre section, they save a further 35 g per wheel compared to the already lightweight DT Competition, whilst offering almost the same stiffness and durability. DT Swiss Aero RR 411 DB asymmetrical rim

The RR 411 road and cyclocross rim from DT Swiss for use with disc brakes, very light at just 410 grams and stable thanks to a high-strength aluminium alloy and 21.5 mm rim width. The rim’s asymmetrical design allows for more even spoke tension, which significantly increases stability and service life. With a clean finish, welded joint, CNC-machined sidewalls and a 21 mm deep rim, the DT Swiss RR 511 DB is the ideal rim for building very lightweight wheelsets.

The DT Swiss RR 411 DB rims are high-end rims with a special spoke nipple mount and are supplied with special DT Squorx Pro Head nipples and PHR washers; they must only be laced using these nipples. Furthermore, the DT RR 411 rims are tubeless-ready.

DT Competition spokes:

The double cold-forged spoke made from rust-resistant 18/10 chrome-nickel steel with a tapered middle section for robust, lightweight wheelsets. We recommend these spokes for virtually all wheelsets. Extremely durable and sufficiently lightweight, the DT Competition spokes enable wheel building of the highest standard. Thanks to the tapered section in the middle, the spokes absorb movements in the wheel exceptionally well, without compromising on lateral stiffness and durability. Weight with nipple approx. 7 grams

DT Competition Race spokes:

Just as versatile as the bent version of the DT Competition spoke, but as a straight spoke. DT Swiss Aero Comp spokes:

Designed for stable, laterally stiff yet aerodynamic wheelsets, the DT Swiss Aero Comp spoke is cold-forged in the middle section, making it lighter and stronger. In a further complex process, it is flat-forged to optimise aerodynamic properties whilst simultaneously increasing material strength. The DT Aero Comp guarantees a balanced ratio of stiffness, aerodynamics and durability.

DT Swiss Aero Lite spokes:

The DT Swiss Aerolite spoke is flatter and lighter than any other; the DT Swiss Aerolite spoke features an aerodynamic flat profile and is extremely lightweight. Thanks to the 0.9 x 2.3 mm aerodynamic mid-section, this spoke can be fitted to all standard hubs. The Cold Forging Technology (CFT) developed by DT Swiss makes the reduced and forged DT Aerolite the lightest stainless steel spoke and gives it excellent mechanical properties. Particularly suitable for super-light and fast road or cross-country wheelsets. 64 DT Aerolite spokes weigh an incredible 278 g at a length of 264 mm. Weight per spoke at 264 mm length: 4.31 grams

DT Swiss Revolite spokes:

The DT Revolite is the ideal choice for riders looking for a spoke that combines durability, low weight and aerodynamics. With a 2.3 x 1.3 mm cross-section in the middle section of the spokes, these offer excellent aerodynamics. Through several rounds of development, their innovative shape has been optimised to outperform all other DT Swiss MTB spokes in their weight class in terms of durability. This has been achieved through the unique blading process, which achieves additional densification of the material, and a patent-pending process that ensures a uniform transition from the tapered to the forged section of the spoke. Weighing just approx. 4.5 grams at a length of 264 mm per spoke, the Revolite is also exceptionally light.

DT Squorx spoke nipples:

The DT Swiss Squorx Pro Head nipple combines ease of installation with light weight thanks to the DT Pro Head shape, combined with an additional Torx and square tool socket. The Torx socket provides a larger contact area during wheel building, ensuring that the force from the tool is better distributed across the nipple. The spherical contact area within the rim guarantees perfect alignment with the spoke.
