Shimano RS770 plus Mavic Open Pro UST wheelset

The wheelset for use on cyclocross, gravel and touring bikes. Extremely sturdy yet lightweight, weighing approx. 1750 grams, and suitable for tyres 28–47 mm wide. The Shimano hubs are designed for 12 mm thru-axles. We supply this wheelset as standard with 32 spokes per wheel; on request, it is also available in a 28-hole version.

We manufacture these wheels entirely by hand for you. Thanks to more than 30 years of experience in wheel building, we get the very best in roundness, durability and stiffness out of the material. These wheels are, of course, tested multiple times for truing, and we also pre-tension the spokes in the longitudinal direction. This eliminates the need for re-truing over a long period of time.

These wheels are made especially for you, which is why we cannot offer a right of return for them.

Shimano Road Disc RS770 hubs

The super-polished running surfaces are additionally fitted with an internal grease seal. The front hub features high-quality labyrinth seals and tapered bearings with Shimano’s Digital Adjustment System. This guarantees silky-smooth operation and the highest precision. With the help of the Shimano Digital Adjustment System, bearing play can be adjusted easily yet precisely by hand, i.e. without additional tools

DT Swiss Competition spokes:

The double cold-forged spoke made from rust-resistant 18/10 chrome-nickel steel with a tapered middle section for robust, lightweight wheels. We recommend these spokes for virtually all wheels. Extremely durable and sufficiently lightweight, the DT Competition spokes enable wheel building of the highest standard. Thanks to the tapered section, the spokes absorb movements in the wheel exceptionally well, without compromising on lateral stiffness or durability. Weight with brass nipples approx. 7 grams

Mavic Open Pro UST Disc rim

The new high-end gravel, cross and touring Open Pro UST Disc rims from Mavic, tubeless-ready and with a 19 mm internal rim width for tyres from 28–47 mm wide. Weight approx. 435 grams.

Lightweight and extra-sturdy, the Mavic Open Pro UST rim weighs a super-light 430 grams, optimised to the absolute limit of what the material allows. With a 19 mm internal rim width, it is ideal for tyres ranging from 28 to 47 mm in width. Double-eyelet, welded rim joint, flat-milled, ISMD 4 weight tuning and manufactured from high-quality, durable Maxtal aluminium. The Open Pro rim is tubeless-ready. To fit tubeless tyres, you will also need the tubeless rim tape (item no. V2190101) and the tubeless valve (item no. V3560101).

Of course, the rims can also be used with standard folding and clincher tyres
