Shimano RTMT800 Centerlock brake disc

The Shimano XT RT-MT800 Ice Tech Centerlock brake discs on the 4- or 5-star aluminium carrier are manufactured using a sandwich construction. The aluminium core is encased by the steel braking surface. This reduces heat build-up by a good 25 per cent and increases the durability of the Shimano MTB disc brakes. The redesigned Ice Tech Freeza brake discs at Deore XT level, RT-MT800, have been engineered to ensure maximum heat dissipation, resulting in more consistent braking performance and longer pad life.

The brake discs feature an internal lock ring for hubs with 12 mm thru-axles up to quick-release skewers. An external lock ring is required for 15 mm and 20 mm thru-axles.
