Shimano SLX Rear Derailleur RD M7000

The new Shimano SLX 11-speed components, designed for use ranging from cross-country to enduro. Available with a crankset featuring 1 or 2 chainrings and an 11-speed cassette with a 11-42 or 11-46 tooth range. One of the major advantages of the SLX 7000 series is the compatibility of the cassettes with conventional rear wheels. The 11-speed MTB cassettes can be fitted to all freehub bodies designed for 9- and 10-speed Shimano MTB cassettes. This eliminates the need for the time-consuming conversion of the wheel to a different freehub body.

Shimano SLX RD-M7000 rear derailleur:

The SLX RDM 7000 GS medium cage rear derailleur for use with the 2-speed and 1-speed cranksets of the 11-speed series. The SLX Shadow Plus 7000 rear derailleur shifts precisely, quickly and smoothly. The new, slimmer design, fluorine-coated stainless steel bushings and extremely precise machined fits ensure high shifting precision and a long service life.

Shimano Shadow Plus:

The Shimano Shadow Plus mechanism has been further developed for the SLX RD-M7000 rear derailleur. With the ability to adjust the friction damper as desired via a screw mechanism, the system can be tuned to prioritise maximum stability or minimal operating forces. Furthermore, the rear derailleur features an even slimmer profile, which protects it from damage and further reduces operating forces thanks to the shallow angle of engagement.

Shimano SLX 7000 Rear Derailleur Compatibility:

The new Shimano 11-speed SLX series is only compatible with the SLX, XT and XTR 11-speed shifters SLM7000, SLM8000 and SLM9000. The HG-701 chain is recommended. The 11-speed Shimano MTB cassettes are also compatible with 9-10-speed Shimano-compatible freehub bodies
