Shimano XTR SL-M9000 I Spec II shift lever

The new Shimano XTR 11-speed components, designed for use ranging from cross-country to enduro. Available with a crankset featuring 1–3 chainrings and an 11-speed cassette with an 11–40 tooth range.

Shimano SL-M9000 Rapidfire shift lever:

The XTR Rapidfire 11-speed shift levers SL-M-9000-I are designed for direct mounting on the new XTR disc brake levers BL-M9000 and BL-M9020. This saves weight and creates plenty of space on the handlebars. The further optimised, ergonomic design of the Shimano XTR SL M9000 Rapidfire shifters literally takes shifting to a new level. The shift levers feature a dual-textured, non-slip surface and are equipped with all the latest high-end technologies such as Multi-Release, Instant-Release and 2-Way-Release. Carbon was chosen as the material for the shift levers to ensure the lowest possible weight. Equipped with polymer-coated cables, shifting performance is significantly optimised and operating forces are reduced by 20 per cent

Shimano I-Spec II mounting:

The XTR SLM9000 shift levers are suitable for direct mounting (I-Spec Type II) onto the brake levers of the 2015 Shimano XTR disc brakes BLM 9000 and BLM9020 with I-Spec II clamps. This mounting system ensures space-saving installation of the shift levers directly onto the brake lever clamp. Shimano has changed the I-Spec mount on the 2015 XTR 11-speed system; the XTR SLM9000 I-Spec II levers are not compatible with older I-Spec systems.

Shimano XTR 9000 shift lever compatibility:

The new Shimano 11-speed XTR shifter series is only compatible with the XTR 11-speed RDM9000 rear derailleurs and FCM9000 and FDM9020 front derailleurs. The HG-900 chain is recommended. The 11-speed XTR cassettes are also compatible with 9-10-speed Shimano-compatible freehub bodies.
