Sram Force AXS XPLR D2/E1 12x1-speed gravel groupset

The Sram Force XPLR Gravel drivetrain and gear group with the 1x12 XPLR rear derailleur for 12-speed cassettes ranging from 10-36 to 10-44 teeth.

The Sram Force XPLR 12-speed rear derailleur, RD-FRC-E1-D2, is designed for mounting on standard threaded derailleur hangers.

Sram Force AXS rear derailleur, RD-FRC-E-D2:

The SRAM Force AXS XPLR Gravel rear derailleur has been made AXS-compatible for easy customisation and is designed for AXS systems. The advanced Orbit chain management system ensures quiet and reliable operation, regardless of the terrain. The rear derailleur is also faster, as it features larger X-Sync pulleys, ceramic bearings, improved motors and signal transmitters, all of which enhance performance in every respect. Wireless connectivity via the AIREA network ensures a quick and clean installation.

Sram Force AXS disc brake, ED-FRC-E1:

Completely new lever body ergonomics – now also available for Force. The system features stiffer brake calipers, the ability to brake with just one finger from both the lower and upper handlebar positions, bonus buttons and a texture that makes it easier to locate and operate the buttons and levers. These improvements are the result of over four years of feedback from a wide variety of riders and deliver a new level of comfort and control for an even broader range of cyclists. Sram Force AXS FC-FRC-1W-E1 crankset:

The Force XPLR crankset consists of a lightweight and stiff direct-mount chainring, with advanced and elegant crankarms plus an updated and lighter 1x chainring Available with standard chainrings in sizes from 38 to 46 teeth or with aero chainrings in 44 to 50 teeth, this crankset can be used for almost anything whilst still looking great.

SRAM X-Sync chainring technology:

The X-Sync technology chainring, featuring wide and narrow teeth, offers maximum chain control. SRAM’s engineers analysed the performance and wear of thousands of previous chainrings to achieve this. The aim was to create a chainring that enhances performance under all riding conditions. The result: the chainring teeth are longer and shaped like a saw blade to grip the chain perfectly. The chainring thus increases chain tension and pedalling efficiency. At the same time, friction, chain noise and wear are reduced.

Sram Force XPLR Cassette, XG-1271-D2

The Force AXS XG 1271 Mini Cluster cassette offers a 440 per cent gear range. Perfectly matched to the SRAM AXS 1XPLR 12-speed drivetrain and chain, the cassettes deliver outstanding shifting performance thanks to improved shifters. They are lightweight, quiet and offer a clear performance advantage. The Mini Cluster cassette combines small sprockets, milled from a single steel block, with additional sprockets that are individually assembled. The largest sprocket is made of aluminium. The result: a lightweight, affordable and robust 12-speed cassette

Quarq power meter compatible:

Thanks to the 8-point bolt pattern of the Direct Mount mount for the chainring spider or single chainring, the Force AXS crankset is also compatible with all Quarq spiders featuring the 8-point mount.

SRAM DUB axle-bottom bracket system:

The DUB version of the SRAM cranks is suitable for all standard bottom bracket shells. You will find the matching bottom brackets below, along with the installation dimensions. The axles have a diameter of 29 mm. Axle play is adjustable via a preloader. The SRAM DUB road bike cranksets have their own unique standard and are only compatible with DUB road bike bottom brackets, not with other bottom brackets. SRAM and Wheels Manufacturing offer suitable bottom brackets for almost every bottom bracket standard.

DUB Wide chainline:

SRAM offers the DUB Road and DUB Gravel crankset arms in the DUB Road Wide version:

• The DUB Road cranks have a chainline of 45 mm and a spindle length of 106 mm
• The DUB Road Wide cranks have a chainline of 47.5 mm and a spindle length of 112 mm

Sram AXS batteries:

Batteries are used on the rear derailleur and front derailleur. These batteries are interchangeable. So, for example, if the rear derailleur runs out of power halfway through a ride, you can shift to your preferred chainring at the front, swap the two batteries, and then carry on riding without a worry. The batteries have a capacity of approximately 1,000 kilometres or 60 hours of riding time. The charging time for a battery is around 45 minutes. In addition, all components of the SRAM Red eTap groupset are equipped with LED indicators. Green means the battery is fully charged, and red indicates that there is still sufficient capacity remaining. Only when the LED starts flashing red does the charge level approach the end, leaving around 5 per cent capacity remaining.

SRAM AXS technology

AXS is the electronic integration platform that connects SRAM’s electronic bike components and software. The AXS components communicate wirelessly using 128-bit encryption. Every time a groupset comprising, for example, shift levers, a front derailleur and a rear derailleur is paired, a unique code is generated to prevent interference with other riders. The SRAM AXS app allows you to view the battery status, adjust component behaviour, customise controllers, receive maintenance reminders and update the firmware. This app is available free of charge from the App Store for iOS and Android.

Flat Mount Standard:

The new Flat Mount caliper standard for road bike brakes reduces weight and offers a significantly sleeker look. With the Flat Mount standard, the rear caliper sits directly on the chainstay, with a bolt spacing of 35 mm; no adapter is required for caliper mounting. The bolts pass through the chainstay from below directly into the brake caliper. A flat adapter is still required on the fork; the fork mount has a bolt spacing of 75 mm and the brake caliper is the same as that used on the rear wheel. The adapter is screwed onto the rear of the fork leg, with the brake sitting directly on the adapter. By flipping the adapter over, the available brake disc sizes can be changed between 140 and 160 mm.
