Shimano XT FD-T8000-L front derailleur, 10-speed in the Top Swing version, with dual-pull cable linkage
Shimano XT FD-T8000-L front derailleur
To complement the electronic Di2 components for the M8000 groupset, Shimano is also introducing the Deore XT’s specific trekking components. Under the product designation T8000, touring cyclists can access the most advanced and modern specific trekking components Shimano has ever developed. The Deore XT range now extends, on the one hand, into the XC race segment and, on the other, to comfortable touring and trekking bikes.
Matching the Shimano 10-speed MTB cranksets with 48-36-26-tooth chainring configurations and the new Shimano HG-X chains, the FD-T8000 front derailleur offers Shimano’s typically excellent shifting performance. The angled adjustment screws are easy to reach. The cage has been redesigned and is now lighter than before. In addition, the shape of the cage has been modified to increase tyre clearance. The widened parallelogram, thanks to its wider pivot base, reduces flex and thus leads to faster shifting and a longer service life. This derailleur also features the Dual Pull cable routing system, allowing for both top-pull and down-pull cable routing. Recommended for all full-suspension bikes with a low pivot point. The specified maximum chainring difference is the official Shimano specification. Due to the more stable parallelogram support, we recommend this front derailleur wherever it fits. Recommended for all full-suspension bikes with a low pivot point. The specified maximum chainring difference is the official Shimano specification.
