Shimano Deore XTR FD M8100 front derailleur

The 12 components from the XTR high-end series, designed for use ranging from cross-country to enduro. Available with a crankset featuring either one or two chainrings and the new 12-speed cassettes with 10-45 and 10-51 tooth configurations. The XTR components from the 9100 / 9120 series are not compatible with older shift levers or cassettes. The new Micro Spline freehub body is required for the cassette.

Shimano XTR FD-M9100 Side Swing front derailleur

The XTR 12-speed FD-M9100 front derailleur utilises Side-Swing technology. This delivers significantly improved shifting performance. Designed specifically with modern trail bikes in mind, the Side-Swing derailleur offers 15mm more clearance between the seat tube and tyre, whilst the completely new and optimised cable routing and control drastically reduce the effort required to shift gears.

Shimano XTR FD-M9100 Front Pull Derailleur:

These front pull derailleurs are only compatible with frames designed for them. The shift cable is routed from the front and the outer cable housing is routed all the way to the derailleur. A classic shift cable routing from above or below is not possible with these derailleurs.

Shimano Mid Clamp Mount Front Derailleur:

The seat tube clamp is mounted approximately 10 cm above the centre of the bottom bracket. The inner diameter of the clamp is 34.9 mm; reducer sleeves for 31.8 mm and 28.6 mm are included in the scope of delivery.

Shimano XTR FD-M9100 Front Derailleur Compatibility:

The new Shimano 12-speed XT front derailleur series is only compatible with the 12-speed MTB rear derailleurs and shift levers from the Shimano MTB series. The CSM9100 chain is recommended.
