ZS/Zero Stack – semi-integrated headset:
Headset sets designated ZS / Zero Stack are also referred to as semi-integrated headsets. They require a frame designed for this purpose with an exact match for the bearing cups. Zero Stack refers to the minimal protrusion of the bearing cups from the head tube, whilst ZS44, for example, denotes the installation dimension, the outer diameter of the bearing cup and the inner diameter of the bearing cups within the frame. The headsets can usually be fitted without special tools; the frame simply needs to be cleanly pre-milled.
