ZS44/28.6 top thread:

The ZS headset is pressed into the top of the head tube; the press-fit dimension in the frame is 44 mm and the fork steerer tube diameter is 1 1/8 inch / 28.6 mm at the top.

ZS56/40 Bottom installation dimension:

The ZS headset is pressed into the head tube at the bottom; the press-fit dimension in the frame is 56 mm and the fork steerer tube diameter is 1.5 inches at the bottom. The headset cone requires a 40 mm seat on the fork.

ZS/Zero Stack – semi-integrated headset:

Head sets designated ZS / Zero Stack are also referred to as semi-integrated head sets. They require a frame designed for this purpose with an exact match for the bearing cups. ‘Zero Stack’ refers to the minimal protrusion of the bearing cups from the head tube, whilst ‘ZS44’, for example, denotes the installation dimension, the outer diameter of the bearing cup and the inner diameter of the bearing cups within the frame. These headsets can generally be fitted without special tools, provided the frame has been cleanly pre-milled.
