The new Shimano Deore 6250 rear derailleur series is compatible with Shimano Di2 wireless shift levers for MTB, road and gravel bikes, and with 12-speed cassettes with a 10-51 tooth range. The CN-M8100 chain is recommended. The 12-speed cassettes with a 9-45 tooth range are only compatible with the new Micro Spline freehub bodies

Furthermore, the rear derailleur features an even slimmer profile, which protects it from damage and further reduces operating force thanks to the shallow angle of engagement.
