Tyre Maxxis Forekaster WT EXO TR DUAL

When the ground is softer or the weather is wetter, the Forekaster is the tyre of choice. The medium-height knobs are evenly spaced, giving them perfect grip on trails with a loose surface over firm ground. The Pro version features a more open design for better self-cleaning on wet ground. Wide, grooved centre knobs provide impressive braking on slippery singletrack. With the Forekaster, you’re perfectly equipped for the trails – whatever the weather.

The Forekaster is now also available in a 2.60″ wide version. The tyre is suitable for rims with an internal width of 30–35 mm and is a superb all-rounder for tours in low mountain ranges as well as for longer adventures.

2.60WT-wide tyres generally feature a WT construction, but do not have a WT marking on the tyre sidewall.

Maxxis WIDE TRAIL CASING, WT

The Wide Trail construction optimises the tread pattern and tyre shape for today’s modern, wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed for narrow rims and take on an overly angular shape on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance. WT tyres are optimised for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but perform excellently on all rims with an inner width between 30 and 39 mm.

Maxxis DUAL rubber compound

Two different rubber compounds are processed into a single tread strip. We plan the arrangement of the compounds according to the desired characteristics of the tyres.

Maxxis Tubeless Ready, TR

Tubeless tyres offer many advantages: you can ride with lower air pressure. This provides better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And with no inner tube, the risk of punctures is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tyres are better prepared for fitting with sealant than other Tubeless Ready tyres. As with a genuine UST tubeless tyre, the bead of TR tyres is completely covered with a rubber layer. This ensures that tubeless fitting on all rims of standard dimensions is successful from the very first inflation and with minimal sealant.

Maxxis EXO Protection

This extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewalls of various MTB tyres. It is very densely woven, lightweight and highly flexible. As a result, the tyres’ performance remains consistently impressive.
