The gravel wheelsets with 50 mm high aero rims, developed in collaboration with the specialists at Swiss Side, are paired with high-strength Aero Comp straight-pull spokes, the proven 240 front hub and the rear hub featuring the Classified Powershift System.
The GRC 500 Spline wheelset combines Swiss Side’s aerodynamic expertise with outstanding DT SWISS quality for maximum durability and performance – perfected by Classified’s revolutionary shifting system. The robust carbon construction of the rim, combined with Aero Comp II straight-pull spokes, ensures the lowest possible weight, optimal power transfer and long-lasting performance on the roughest terrain.
The Classified Powershift system revolutionises the drivetrain: maintenance-free, dirt-resistant and unrivalled in efficiency! The Powershift hub with two gears (ratio 1:1 & 0.7:1) replaces the derailleur and shifts wirelessly whilst stationary or rolling in under 150 ms – even under loads of up to 1500 watts!
DT Swiss Straight Pull Spokes
To achieve an ideal balance between weight and stability, only the highest-quality straight-pull spokes are used in SPLINE wheelsets. They are more stable than conventional spokes yet can still be trued and replaced using standard tools.
DT Swiss GRC 500 Spline 50 Disc Clincher Rims
The rims, with a 24 mm rim width, are built for tough cyclocross and gravel use and also offer good aerodynamics. The GRC 500 Spline rims are made from high-modulus carbon fibre using a new resin. The profile, developed by Swiss Side and inspired by aircraft construction, offers optimum aerodynamics.
Hooked / Crotchet tubeless TC:
‘Hooked’ or ‘Crochet’ refers to the shape of the rim flange, which features a so-called hook. This aids in securing the tyre bead and ensures reliable performance, even when using high tyre pressure (> 5 bar). ‘Tubeless’ means that the rim can be ridden without an inner tube, although a setup with an inner tube is also possible.
DT Swiss Spline Disc Hubs
The DT Swiss Spline hubs, with their optimised hub body and wide hub flanges, offer greater lateral stiffness. Designed for straight-pull spokes and based on the DT Swiss High End 240 front hubs with Swiss industrial stainless steel bearings, they are exceptionally durable and can be serviced and converted without tools.
