The new Shimano XTR 9250 shift lever series is only compatible with the XTR 12-speed RDM9120 rear derailleurs.

Shimano Rapid ES XTR SW-M9250-IR shift lever:

The XTR M9250 SHIMANO RAPID ES shifter feels natural right out of the box, but can be customised to suit any hand thanks to its familiar fit and advanced adjustability. Different shifting modes such as Hold-Down Multi-Shift, tactile Click-Through Double-Shift or Locked-Out Single-Shift ensure precision, whilst a configurable third button allows for additional system tuning or connection to third-party devices.

The XTR RDM 9250 GS medium cage rear derailleur for use with XTR cassettes in 10-45 tooth configurations and single chainrings. The XTR Shadow Plus 9100 rear derailleur shifts with extreme precision, speed and smoothness. The new, narrower design, fluorine-coated stainless steel bushings and extremely precise machined fits ensure high shifting precision and a long service life. With the ability to adjust the friction damper as desired via a screw mechanism, the system can be tuned to prioritise maximum stability or minimal operating forces. Furthermore, the rear derailleur features an even narrower profile, which protects it from damage and further reduces operating forces thanks to the shallow angle of engagement.

Shimano I-Spec EV Direct Mount:

Thanks to the wider adjustment range, the I-SPEC EV levers can be positioned optimally for a wide variety of riding styles, rider preferences and rider anatomy (hand and arm position). With I-SPEC EV, the brake lever clamps are positioned further inwards. This creates an additional contact point between the handlebar and the brake lever, which increases the lever’s stiffness. This additional support significantly improves control over the bike and braking performance. At the same time, there remains space between the clamp and the support point for further handlebar-mounted accessories.

The EV I-Spec version of the Shimano shifters and brake levers offers a wide adjustment range – 14 mm sideways and 60 degrees of rotation – ensuring optimal shifter ergonomics. With the I-Spec EV version, the lever can be attached to the brake levers in a space-saving manner. The I-Spec EV version is not compatible with older Spec brake levers.
