The high-end Aero Disc wheelset for marathon and race bikes, featuring 80mm-high and 27mm-wide full-carbon rims, allows the use of wide, excellent-rolling tubeless tyres. The asymmetrical design provides very high lateral stiffness for maximum steering precision. The DT Swiss ARC 1100 Dicut 80 DB wheels are very light, weighing just 1762 grams; the high-end DT Swiss Dicut hubs are equipped with the new EXP hubs and DT Swiss Sinc ceramic bearings. Finally, the patented ratchet system guarantees durability and easy maintenance of the wheelset
The most advanced DT Swiss aero wheelset for road bikes with disc brakes, designed for new personal bests whilst maintaining safe handling at all times. The new AERO+ rim profiles are characterised by low aerodynamic drag combined with reduced steering torque: ideal for improving aerodynamics, the ‘sailing effect’ and control, even in strong crosswinds
DT Swiss Sinc Ceramic Bearings:
the high-end ceramic bearings from DT Swiss, specially optimised for DT Swiss hubs, offer maximum smoothness and minimal weight. In a special manufacturing process, the balls are rolled until their surface exhibits perfect roundness. Whilst the surface of conventional ceramic balls is not 100 per cent smooth, SINC Ceramic balls exhibit extremely high smoothness and, thanks to their perfect roundness, achieve extremely low rolling resistance. By combining these ceramic balls with high-quality steel bearing cups, the full potential of the bearings can be realised.
DT Swiss ARC 1100 Dicut rims:
The ARC 1100 carbon rims, developed entirely in collaboration with Swiss Side, offer excellent aerodynamics and superior handling in all wind conditions. Extensively tested and optimised in the wind tunnel, the ARC 1100 rims provide the best compromise between aerodynamics and handling. The finish is applied using a new process and does not affect aerodynamics in any way. With a 20 mm inner rim width, they are ideal for tyres from 25 mm wide and, of course, tubeless-ready.
Hooked / Crotchet tubeless TC:
‘Hooked’ or ‘Crotchet’ refers to the shape of the rim flange, which features a so-called hook. This supports the tyre bead and ensures reliable performance, even when using high tyre pressure (> 5 bar). ‘Tubeless’ means that the rim can be ridden without an inner tube, although a setup with an inner tube is also possible.
DT Swiss ARC 1100 Dicut spokes:
The lacing using the Nail Head System ensures that the spokes cannot twist under load, so the spokes are always at the most aerodynamically favourable angle. Flatter and lighter than all others, the DT Swiss Aerolite spoke features an aerodynamic flat profile and is extremely lightweight. On the freehub side of the Dicut wheels, the slightly heavier and even more stable DT Aerolite spokes are fitted.
DT Swiss Ratchet EXP Freewheel:
Ratchet EXP is DT Swiss’s lightest freehub system and is therefore used in DT Swiss products designed for the most demanding requirements. It is fitted to the 180 and 240 hubs. The DT Swiss EXP Ratchet System hub system allows for easy conversion to various axle or rotor standards. The multi-tooth ratchet freehub body ensures loss-free power transmission. The rear hubs can be converted without tools to Campagnolo ED and N3W, Shimano HG and Microspline, Sram XD and XDR freehub bodies.
