Classified Powershift Torque Support Arm

All gear hubs require a torque support. On Powershift hubs, this is fitted to the hub axle using a spline. Versions are available for frames with Post Mount and Flat Mount brake caliper mounts.

Torque supports for flat-mount disc brake mounts must be selected based on two criteria

1. which Flat Mount brake caliper mount the frame has; the standard for road and gravel bikes is 140 mm. 
2. how thick the rear stay is, or the mounting height of the brake caliper on the disc brake mount.

• Mounting on bike frames with Flat Mount 140 brake caliper mount
• Value H on the drawing for rear stay, or mounting height: 30 mm

Suitable spacers are available for adaptation to frames or mounts that do not match the mounting heights. 

Which torque support is the right one?

The Post Mount torque support is mounted beneath the rear stay and requires no additional bolting. Originally developed for MTB frames, it is our recommendation for all bikes, as it offers the easiest installation and removal of the rear wheel. 

To ensure optimal compatibility with all common frame types, Classifed offers various versions of the torque arm. Key factors are the diameter of the rear stays and the disc brake standard: Flatmount or Postmount.

Postmount: Brake caliper is bolted to the rear stay from above, bolt spacing 76 mm

Flat Mount: The brake caliper is bolted to the rear stay from below, with a bolt spacing of 34 mm

Please note that the flat mount mounts for 140 mm and 160 mm direct mount differ. The bolt spacing is the same, but the distance to the hub axis is greater: 36.5 mm for 140 mm direct mount and 45 mm for 160 mm direct mount.
