Shimano XT SL-T8000 Rapid Fire Plus single lever, right-hand, 10-speed, clamp mount
Shimano XT Rapidfire SL-T8000 shift lever
To complement the electronic Di2 components for the M8000 groupset, Shimano is also introducing the Deore XT’s specific trekking components. Under the product designation T8000, touring cyclists can access the most advanced and modern specific trekking components Shimano has ever developed. The Deore XT range now extends, on the one hand, into the XC race segment and, on the other, to comfortable touring and trekking bikes.
Switching effortlessly between the available gears is primarily ensured by the Rapidfire Plus shift levers with their clearly legible visual gear indicator, which are also at the very cutting edge of technology thanks to Multi-Release, Instant-Release and 2-Way-Release.
Shimano 2-Way Release:
allows the cable to be released by pressing with your thumb or pulling with your index finger. This means you don’t have to adapt your riding style to the shifter; instead, the shifter adapts to your riding style.
Shimano Multi-Release:
Allows for two-step shifting. This means you can shift through several gears in both directions using either the main lever or the secondary lever.
Shimano Instant Release:
ensures faster gear changes. The cable is released immediately when the lever is actuated. You can change gears faster than before. The double-bearing levers can be mounted to the left or right of the brake lever clamp to optimise space on the handlebars. The new, space-saving optical gear indicator can be removed if required.
The XT Rapidfire SL-T8000 is compatible with all Dyna-Sys and Shimano 10-speed MTB rear derailleurs; it is not compatible with Shimano 9-speed MTB rear derailleurs
