Mavic E-Speedcity Disc UST wheelset

The new wheelset from Mavic for urban and gravel use, the E-Speedcity, is equipped with wide and sturdy UST tubeless-ready rims, particularly sturdy J-bend steel spokes, adjustable industrial bearings, and extra-sturdy e-bike rims with a 25 mm rim width. The e-bike-specific reinforced high-flange hubs transmit the drive forces in a manner suitable for e-bikes.

The Mavic UST wheels can, of course, also be used with standard tyres and inner tubes. Simply unscrew the valve and fit an inner tube, just as before.

Mavic E Speedcity Disc technologies:

• Mavic UST rims:
  the rims are fitted with special rim flanges that make fitting UST tyres extremely easy; the UST tyres virtually spring into the correct position and, provided you have a strong thumb, can be fitted without tools and inflated using standard air pumps.
• QRM Auto:
  Industrial bearings of this quality are only found in Mavic hubs – QRM bearings with double seals, of the 2RS or LLU type, and with extremely tight tolerances. Self-aligning bearings offer very high durability, low maintenance and excellent smoothness.
• Mavic Instant Drive Freehub Body:
  The Instant Drive 360 freehub system is super-light and ensures rapid power transfer with a mere 9-degree engagement angle. A large, contact-free rubber seal reduces friction. And a wide selection of axle stubs ensures compatibility with many mounting standards. The oversized aluminium axle and the hardened aluminium freehub body save 40 g. Two pawls ensure fast and loss-free power transfer. A radial seal guarantees low friction at high speeds and perfect water resistance. This freehub body is easy to convert and is available in an HG11 version for Shimano and SRAM 8-11-speed, SRAM XD 11- and 12-speed XG/AXS, and Campagnolo 9-11-speed ED cassettes.
• Compatibility:
  the oversized aluminium axles allow for easy conversion to all standard axle systems, including quick-release mounting as well as QR 12x100 mm, X12x142 mm and 12x135 mm thru-axle mounting. End stops for 12 mm thru-axles and quick-release mounts are included in the scope of delivery. Conversion to 15x100 mm front wheel mounting is possible by replacing the entire hub axle
