Shimano 105 R7000 hub plus Mavic CXP Pro UB rim

The rear wheel for classic road bike use. Extremely sturdy yet lightweight, weighing approx. 1700 grams, and suitable for tyres 23–32 mm wide. The Shimano 105 hubs are designed for Shimano and SRAM 8–11-speed road bike cassettes. We offer this wheelset with black and silver hubs and, optionally, with 32 or 36 spokes per wheel.

Wheel building at TNC-Hamburg:

We hand-build these wheels exclusively for you. Thanks to over 30 years’ experience in wheel building, we extract the optimum in concentricity, durability and stiffness from the materials. These wheels are, of course, pressure-tested multiple times, and we also pre-tension the spokes in the longitudinal direction. This eliminates the need for re-truing over a long period of time.

These wheels are made to order for you, which is why we cannot offer a right of return for them.

Shimano 105 hubs

The Shimano 105 R7000 hubs. New seals provide reliable protection against contamination of the bearings. The polished raceways are additionally fitted with an internal grease seal. The freehub body is compatible with 8- to 11-speed Shimano and SRAM road bike cassettes.

DT Swiss Competition spokes:

The double cold-forged spoke made from rust-resistant 18/10 chrome-nickel steel with a tapered middle section for robust, lightweight wheels. We recommend these spokes for virtually all wheels. Extremely durable and sufficiently lightweight, the DT Competition spokes enable wheel building of the highest standard. Thanks to the tapered mid-section, the spokes absorb movement in the wheel exceptionally well, without compromising on lateral stiffness or durability. Weight with brass nipples approx. 7 grams

Mavic CXP Pro rim

The Mavic CXP Pro road bike rim, with its profile height of a good 23 mm, literally cuts through the wind. At the same time, the Maxtal aluminium alloy saves weight. The SUP-welded and eyeleted Mavic CXP 33 is also exceptionally stable and durable. Excellent aerodynamics with top performance from Mavic.

DT Swiss Squorx Pro Head spoke nipples:

The DT Squorx Pro Head nipple combines ease of installation, light weight and optimal performance in a single product. The Torx head makes lacing flat spokes a breeze. The spherical contact surface ensures perfect alignment with the spoke, whilst the square section allows for easy re-centring using standard tools with the tyre fitted. These features ensure even pressure distribution and long-lasting durability
