Wheel building at TNC-Hamburg:

We manufacture these wheels entirely by hand for you. Thanks to more than 30 years’ experience in wheel building, we extract the optimum in concentricity, durability and stiffness from the material. These wheels are, of course, trued multiple times, and we also pre-tension the spokes in the longitudinal direction. This eliminates the need for re-truing over a long period of time.

These wheels are made to order for you, which is why we cannot offer a right of return for them. These wheels are not eligible for a discount

Schmidt SONdelux hub dynamo

The SonDelux hub dynamo offers excellent smoothness, high efficiency and is the ideal complement to Schmidt’s Edelux lamps, as the SonDelux has particularly low power loss yet still produces plenty of light at low speeds.

Thanks to its reduced flange spacing and diameter, it is barely more noticeable than a standard hub dynamo. The SonDelux is the successor to the classic SON. Naturally, like all SON models, it is manufactured with the AWS pressure compensation system. Weighing 390g, it is one of the lightest hub dynamos in the world. It is approved for tandem use with radial lacing. The SonDelux dynamo is approved under the StVZO for wheel diameters ranging from 16 inches to 29 inches.

DT Swiss R460 rim:

Weight 460 grams, rim width 18 mm. The sturdy, lightweight and wide DT Swiss R 460 road bike rim offers high strength and low weight. With its clean finish, the DT Swiss R 450 offers excellent value for money.

DT Swiss RR 411 rim:

Weight 435 grams, rim width 18 mm. With a clean finish, welded joint, CNC-machined sidewalls and a 21 mm high rim bed, the DT Swiss RR 411 UB is the ideal rim for building very lightweight wheelsets. The most advanced rim alloy meets the most modern rim profile – and together they create the RR 411 rim. From the melting of the alloy right through to the secret surface treatment, this rim brings out the very best in that magnificent, gleaming metal known as aluminium. The result is very light, very strong, very stylish.

DT Swiss RR 511 rim:

Weight 530 grams, rim width 18 mm. The RR 511 road and cyclocross rim from DT Swiss for aerodynamic wheelsets. Very stable thanks to a high-strength aluminium alloy and 21.5 mm rim width. With a clean finish, welded joint, CNC-machined sidewalls and a 32 mm deep rim, the DT Swiss RR 511 is the ideal rim for building lightweight and aerodynamic wheelsets. Thanks to its high profile, the DT Swiss RR 511 rims are sturdy enough to build a stable and durable wheelset even with a low spoke count.

DT Swiss Competition Spokes

The double cold-forged spoke made from rust-resistant 18/10 chrome-nickel steel with a tapered middle section for robust, lightweight wheelsets. We recommend these spokes for virtually all wheelsets. Extremely durable and sufficiently lightweight, the DT Competition spokes enable wheel building at the highest level. Thanks to the tapered middle section, the spokes absorb movements in the wheel exceptionally well, without compromising on lateral stiffness or long-term durability.

DT Competition spokes:

The double cold-forged spoke made from rust-proof 18/10 chrome-nickel steel with a tapered centre section for robust, lightweight wheels. We recommend this spoke for virtually all wheels. Extremely durable and sufficiently lightweight, DT Competition spokes enable wheel building of the highest standard. Thanks to the tapered middle section, the spokes absorb movement in the wheel exceptionally well without compromising lateral stiffness or durability. Weight with nipple approx. 7 grams

DT Swiss Aero Comp spokes:

Designed for stable, laterally stiff yet aerodynamic wheelsets, the DT Swiss Aero Comp spoke in the straight-pull version is first cold-forged in the middle section, making it lighter and stronger. In a further complex process, it is flat-forged to optimise aerodynamic properties whilst simultaneously increasing material strength. The DT Aero Comp guarantees a balanced combination of stiffness, aerodynamics and durability.

DT Swiss Aero Lite spokes:

The DT Swiss Aerolite spoke is flatter and lighter than any other; the DT Swiss Aerolite spoke features an aerodynamic flat profile and is extremely lightweight. Thanks to the 0.9 x 2.3 mm aerodynamic mid-section, this spoke can be fitted to all standard hubs. The Cold Forging Technology (CFT) developed by DT Swiss makes the reduced and forged DT Aerolite the lightest stainless steel spoke and gives it excellent mechanical properties. Particularly suitable for super-light and fast road or cross-country wheelsets. 64 DT Aerolite spokes weigh an incredible 278 g at a length of 264 mm. Weight per spoke at 264 mm length: 4.31 grams

DT Swiss Pro Lock spoke nipples

We offer the wheelsets with standard DT Swiss Suorx brass and aluminium Pro Lock nipples. Want to increase the lifespan of a wheelset many times over? That’s only possible with DT Pro Lock! This nipple features an integrated thread-locking system, developed and manufactured by DT Swiss. The two-component adhesive in the nipple thread prevents the spoke-nipple connection from loosening under the influence of operational loads and the loading and unloading of the wheel whilst riding, thereby ensuring constant spoke tension.
